Based on your research, regardless of what point you are, and through three experiential workshops facilitated by an expert in co-creation for innovation with online collaborative tools, you will explore and detect real challenges and multidisciplinary design solutions.
The Universitat Rovira i Virgili from Tarragona presents this course, designed by doctoral students, as a first approach to co-creation methodologies that you can apply to your research, professional and personal life. You will learn to think about the future in the ideation process and move from idea to action into a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
Date: 13/06, 16/06 and, 21/06, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Language: English
Places: 21 (13 for URV and 8 for Aurora) PhD students. The places will be given according to the order of registration, which guarantees the teams' multidisciplinary.

Doctoral Seminar: ''Borders and Places. The Spatial Dimension of Culture'' - 19th of July to 23rd of July 2022

This seminar is taking place from 19-23 July 2022 at the University Conference Center in Obergurgl, Oetztal, Austria, and is open for all early career researchers from the Aurora European Universities Alliance. This particular seminar focuses on the spatial dimension of culture in a wide range of disciplines, such as literature and cultural studies, history, anthropology, or linguistics. The students will discuss theoretical perspectives as well as different methodological approaches to the concept of space and place, including new sub-disciplines, as, for instance, Border Studies.

Would you like to learn how to say "strč prst skrz krk" , and do you want to start learning a Slavonic language? Then this is the course for you! Through this online course of Czech for beginners, you will start your discovery of the Czech language, and learn all the necessary basics. This class could be an ideal preparation for a stay in the Czech Republic, for example on an Erasmus Exchange, an Aurora Mobility, or even a holiday. The Czech for Beginners course will comprise of ten one-hour classes. The weekly classes will be taught by Tereza Koudelíková and will take place on Zoom. Universität Innsbruck has opened 5 Aurora courses on a Bachelor, Master and PhD level. In addition, through Aurora, students have the opportunity to participate in classes organized by other Aurora universities. We welcome all students to sign up and participate in this spring's courses.

Interdisciplinary Community Service Learning (iCSL): addressing challenges through transdisciplinary research

The course is aimed for Master students from any discipline working on a thesis/internship/project-work related to any of the four themes (1. Climate change adaptation: urban gardens and urban agriculture; 2. Climate change mitigation: energy transitions; 3. Digital inclusion; 4. COVID-19).
The course provides students with the opportunity to work on their own graduation project, while at the same time work in a transdisciplinary team with students from other master programs and other countries working on a similar topic and involving local communities.
This course runs parallel to Master research, Internships or thesis and provides opportunity for students to collaborate across different disciplines in their Internship/research/thesis theme or topic. It aims to maximize the internship/research experience of students by engaging them in interdisciplinary and international collaborative ventures that are geared toward solving complex societal problems. The course also helps students build professional network, develop soft skills relevant for professional development, and be better prepared for a successful career after graduation.
