The Beliefs, Events, and Values Inventory (BEVI) is an accessible, adaptable, and powerful analytic tool that can be used to measure the impact of teaching, learning and training activities on the mindsets of students and staff.

Aurora Workshop: Challenges and Barriers to research support collaboration in the first year of AURORA RI
The event will take place on Zoom, on the 8th of November at 13:00 CET.
Now a year in, the AURORA RI project is examining opportunities for collaboration on research support between the partners. Links have been made in the fields of human resources, entrepreneurial engagement, and open science. Mapping exercises on resource sharing, citizen engagement, and research support are complete. All this aims at delivering excellent research and improving Aurora research and innovation support ecosystem. During this period, we have encountered a range of barriers to collaboration. Join us for this workshop to discuss the challenges we have faced and how we overcame them along with ideas for future improvement.

It is a pleasure to invite you to our Infoday on MSCA Staff Exchanges that will take place on the 4th of November at 10 a.m. University Rovira i Virgili is organizing this exclusive virtual event with Rodrigo Gutiérrez Domínguez, Head of Sector at the European Research Executive Agency (REA).
It will be a great opportunity to learn more about the currently open 2022 call. At the end of the meeting, we will brainstorm possible MSCA SE proposals and address interested AURORA participants to attend to a future workgroup session for further matchmaking and support.

Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) together with Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), is offering the course “Introduction to Machine Learning with Python”. This course offers 30 seats to Aurora staff members and Ph.D. students. Regarding the selection of candidates, we will prioritize having representation from all Aurora Universities.
In 2020, Python was the most popular programming language with more than 50% of hiring managers seeking candidates who know this language. There are plenty of reasons why Python is so popular: it is easy to learn and use, allowing programmers to easily develop a wide variety of applications, from data science to web development; from machine learning to finance services. Literally, everything you want to do, you can do it in Python.

The International Staff Week focuses on future collaboration perspectives, new horizons for cooperation, strengthening of international partnerships, as well as foreseeing new mutually beneficial opportunities for sustainable cooperation.
The non-academic component of our International Staff Week is orientated towards all colleagues from HEIs affiliated with the Erasmus+ program (IRO staff members, Erasmus+ Faculty Coordinators, etc.). The teaching segment is addressed to all academic lecturers, regardless of the field of their professional expertise, who will contribute to the topic of the Staff Week and will share their knowledge and know-how with our students.

This role is created specifically for students that want to go the extra mile. You will directly work on the key Aurora topics, in addition to the joint activities provided to Aurora Student Ambassadors.
The application is ongoing and will remain open until the end of the Academic Year. You can join the program at any point until July 2023.
