Call for Incentive Research Collaboration

Building on the success of the Aurora R&I programme and the first Call for Incentive Research Collaboration conducted in 2024, this second call aims at fostering tangible collaborative research actions between the Aurora universities to address Aurora's values and hubs.

The present call supports three types of key actions:

Exploratory and Collaborative Research Projects

This action supports concrete exploratory research which contribute to increase knowledge in a specific field answering societal issues; developing research communities within Aurora and preparing large-scale collaborative projects.

Thematic Schools

This action supports thematic schools organized by early-stage researchers on a specific research theme for a short period of time (1 or 2 weeks).
 

Short-term Research Secondments for Early-stage Researchers

This action supports early-stage career researchers (Master, PhD, postdocs) to go on short term mobility in a research laboratory or unit of an Aurora 2030 full member university (up to 3 months).

Information about the URV mobility grant will be published if a URV member is awarded a secondment stay.

The URV Aurora Mobility Funds offer financial support for academic secondments, providing funding of up to €2,000 per month. Please note that while secondment stays may last up to a maximum of 90 days, funding is limited to 60 days.

To begin the process of submission, please read the Call for Incentive Research Collaboration 2025 and complete the following: online form.

Fill out the respective application forms listed below:

• Application for Exploratory and Collaborative Research Projects
• Application for Thematic Schools
• Application for Short-term Research Secondments for Early-stage Researchers

Submit the full application by email to aurora.arc.office(ELIMINAR)@gmail.com with the subject heading: Submission to Aurora Research 2025 Call_(Name of Principal Investigator)_(University of Principal Investigator).

The deadline for the submission of proposals is on 28 March 2025 at 12:00 (noon) Central European Time (CET).

Once the Selection Committee decides to grant your secondment (maximum x2 secondments per institution per year), you will be eligable to apply for mobility funding at your home institution. The URV will finance your stay by supplementing the Erasmus+ mobility grant with Aurora funds.
